RRB NTPC (Graduate) Selection Process
RRB NTPC 2026 Selection Process
The selection process for RRB NTPC consists of multiple stages. Candidates must qualify each stage to move to the next stage of recruitment.
Stage 1: First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 1)
- This is a screening test conducted online.
- Questions are asked from Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness.
- Candidates who qualify CBT 1 are shortlisted for CBT 2.
Stage 2: Second Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 2)
- This stage is also conducted online.
- The syllabus is similar to CBT 1 but the difficulty level is higher.
- Candidates are shortlisted based on their marks in CBT 2.
Stage 3: Skill Test
Typing Skill Test (TST)
- Applicable for posts such as Junior Clerk cum Typist and Accounts Clerk cum Typist.
- Candidates must type at least 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi on a computer.
Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
- Applicable for the post of Station Master and Traffic Assistant.
- This test evaluates the candidate's decision-making ability, concentration, and reaction time.
Stage 4: Document Verification
- Candidates who clear the previous stages are called for document verification.
- Original certificates and documents are checked.
Stage 5: Medical Examination
- Candidates must pass the medical fitness test conducted by the Railway authorities.
- Medical standards vary depending on the post.
